About
Repertwahr Festival

The Festival came into existence in 2009, as a humble theatre festival which kept receiving enormous love from audiences, thus growing to be India’s Most Unique Performing Arts Festival, adding Music, Standup Comedy, Literature, Food &
Artisanal Bazaar in addition to Theatre, to its performing arts genre, all under a single roof.

Mr. Bhoopesh Rai and Mrs. Priyanka Sarkar
are the founder trustees of Repertwahr Foundation. The Repertwahr Foundation
has been working to promote performing arts in general and theatre in particular, in
the smaller towns in the country, with a special focus on the state of Uttar Pradesh.
Mr. Bhoopesh started his journey as a theatre practitioner in Lucknow in the year
2002. This was the time when people in his circle were moving out of Lucknow for
their respective creative pursuits. He stayed back and worked
tirelessly to give Lucknow the taste of the magic of performing arts.
He along with Mrs. Priyanka founded Repertwahr Festival, which began as a small
theatre festival in Lucknow. Over the years, Repertwahr added Music, Stand-Up
Comedy, Literature, Culinary and Artisan celebrations along with Theatre to its
performing arts genre and subsequently came to be known as India's Most Unique
Performing Arts Festival.

BREATH FARMING
Breath Farming is our way of gifting Lucknow its green lungs.
Every year, we distribute 1,000 free saplings to anyone who wishes to plant and nurture them, turning a simple act into a collective movement. The aim isn't just planting trees, it's a reminder to the society that we are collectively responsible for the change. Together, we’re growing trees that will stand tall to give the city what it needs most - life, hope and fresh air.
